Darrell was born on August 26, 1941 in Henderson, Arkansas, a son of the late Leo Arnett and Norma (Treat) Wright. He grew up in southern Missouri and Arkansas. He spent many of his young years with his siblings and cousins. Life was simple but always with mischief and fun gatherings. He joined the Army at the young age of 17. He was deployed to Germany while in the military. He was honorably discharged. He then began a career of driving a truck. He was very proud of his accomplishment of safe driving. He earned two one million mile pins for his accident free achievement.
Darrell leaves behind three children that he was very proud of. Darren Arnett of Raymore, MO along with his wife Jarilyna. His daughter Donna (Arnett) Frandsen of Cleveland, MO and husband Robert. Grandson Sean Frandsen of Cleveland, MO and wife Nichole. His beautiful and bubbly great-granddaughters, Victoria and Carolina. His son Patrick Ryberg of Harrisonville, MO and his wife Shanda. His active grandsons Skyler, Corbin and Mason. Darrell enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. They always put a smile on his face.
Darrell enjoyed listening to country music. It made it more enjoyable when he was able to listen to his younger brother Donnie Wright perform. He loved being able to take his mother and his family to all the performances.
Darrell also was proud of his accomplishment of being a Mason and Shriner. The importance of community and the charitable values was something he believed in. He provided a monetary gift monthly to St. Jude, City Union Mission and the Salvation Army. He understood that others needed assistance.
Graveside services honoring the life of Darrell will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Mount Moriah Cemetery South in Kansas City, MO. The service will have Full Military Honors. Please arrive at 1:45 in the south lot for the procession to the graveside.
