Dallas E. Brown Jr.

Dallas E. Brown, JR. passed away Sunday morning, February 16, 2020 at Redwood of Blue River, Kansas City, Mo. He was born in Raytown, MO, April 1, 1927, to Dallas E. Brown Sr, and Mabel Irene (LaVert) Brown.

Dallas graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School in 1945. He joined the Army in June 1945 and was honorably discharged in January 1947. He married Betty Mae Martin who preceded him in death Sept,6,2011 about a month before their 64th Anniversary. Dallas was employed with Dartford 29 years and Kenworth (Dart) until he retired in 1986 and was a lifetime member of, and held an office with UAW. Dallas was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7797 and previous Commander of Post 869.

Both Betty and Dallas were politically active for the Democratic Party until their late years, campaigning tirelessly.

Dallas was preceded by his wife Betty, both parents, brothers Charles and Forest M Brown, sisters Fern Brown, Shirley Pearson, Virginia Thorne. He leaves 3 nieces, Nancy Brown, Sheilah Hall and Paula Pennington as well as other great nieces and great nephews and foster daughter Ronee M. Peterson of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Dallas will be deeply missed by family and friends who will not forget his love and kindness.
