Cynthia "Cyndi" Louise Mahoney

Cyndi was born August 16, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. She served with the KCMO police department and then as an executive assistant for the English department and dean’s office of UMKC until her retirement. An avid Chiefs fan, she also enjoyed crocheting and DIY projects, but her pride was her family, and her joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cyndi was loving, generous, and lived her life with integrity.

She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Della (Hall) Bledsoe; and husband, Thomas Mahoney.

She is survived by children: Ricci and her husband Andy Neilson, Sean and his wife Shasta Mahoney, and Terrence and his wife Laura Mahoney; grandchildren: CheyAnne and her husband Champ, Hannah and her husband Dylan, RileyAnne, Makaylie, Ryan, Tamia, Ethan, Tessa, Violet, and Miller; great grandchildren: Cooper, Wyatt, and Eddy Della Rose; and brothers Thomas, Raymond, and James Bledsoe.

Services will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm and memorial service will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm, flowers appreciated.
