“Cindy” passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at home in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at Sheffield Family Life Center, 5700 Winner Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Cynthia Juanita Donald was the second child of four children born to Edward Donald, Jr. and Frances Jean (Blair) Donald, on December 4, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas. Her father has preceded her in death. “Cindy” graduated from Wyandotte High School and attended Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri, where she successfully completed the study program in Paralegal Services; Park University in Parkville, Missouri, receiving her Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude in Management/Human Resources and Webster University, School of Business and Technology where she earned her Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Development. Cindy was an ITT Specialist at Children’s Mercy Hospital where she has been employed since December, 1978. Cindy was a loving, dedicated and phenomenal “Woman of God” who loved her work and all she worked with, her family, her church and had a unique spiritual relationship with the Lord. Cindy served as a Big Sister in the Big Brother & Big Sister organization, National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs Inc, served in the Nursery Ministry, Jr. Bible Studies Quiz Ministries, Greeters Ministry, and Foundational Leadership and Membership Class Ministry at Sheffield Family Life Center. She also had a part-time catering business with her special “sister in Christ” and business partner Carla Smith, and had a specialty writing business to help with employment opportunities. Cindy was not only baptized at her beloved Sheffield Family Life Center, but ascended to Jerusalem, the Holy City, Capital of Israel where she was baptized at the baptismal site at the Jordan River, authorized to bear the title of Jerusalem Pilgrim. She leaves to mourn: her mother Frances and stepfather Henry Weekly Jr.; brother Keith Donald (Lynn) of Lithonia, Georgia; sister Wendy McWashington of Houston, Texas; brother Brian Donald (Melissa) of Peoria, Illinois; aunts Opal Hampton of Pasadena, California, Julia Briscoe (Johnny) of Kansas City, Kansas, Alberta Dobbins of Kansas City, Kansas; uncle Maryland Donald (Minnie) of Tucson, Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. “Wonderful!
