I found Connie on Facebook and got to share the pictures with her. I was lucky enough to have a long phone conversation with her and it was such a pleasure to meet her. I’m sorry for your loss.

I’m a little late, but I wanted to tell Connie‘s family how sorry I am that she passed. I never actually met her, but when she was a child, she was best friends with my husband, and he talked about her all the time. I tried to get him to look for her, but he wasn’t sure how, so after he passed in 2021 I found her on Facebook and had the pleasure of having a long conversation with her. She was a lovely person! I’m sorry I never got to meet her, but I’m so glad I at least got to speak with her. You have my sincere condolences for your loss.

I remember the 1st time I met Connie,  Tina took me out the homestead wich was one roamed by large animals at large,  it wad a unique floor plan.. the there was another voice besides our, ...Hello,  but who ? Connie said,  it's the bird, in my disbelief,  a big white talking bird  . Never will forget.

Connie was my husband’s first cousin.  They were the same age and always enjoyed time together growing up.  We lived in California, but went to Missouri every year or so to visit family. Whenever we would visit with Connie by phone or in person, she was always pleasant.  She had various health issues.  Overcoming one of them (smoking that was hard on her lungs) required courage and determination, along with faith in God. She was open to other people's ideas about how to stop. We fasted with her and for her during her successful effort to quit, and she was graciously appreciative of our support.   When my husband’s parents were near death’s door, Connie was consistently thoughtful about visiting them and supporting their needs. She was truly family oriented. I will miss her.

My precious cousin Connie has departed. She and I are the same age and were raised in the same town. We have been lifetime friends, as well as cousins. (Her dad and my mom were siblings.) During our adult years we have lived far apart geographically, but whenever I visited Missouri, I made it a point to visit Connie. We chatted on the phone from time to time. 

My wife Carol and I were privileged to be in Missouri last week and visit Connie twice (Thursday and Friday evenings). I am grateful we were able to say our goodbyes. It was comforting to see the level of tender loving care being given to Connie by her daughters, granddaughters, and others. They were truly invested in ensuring her comfort and demonstrating their love. They provided for Connie a round-the-clock vigil. They were ministering earthly angels. They did for her what Connie did for her parents when they experienced tough times. And when my dad was dying in 2006 and I couldn't get there fast enough from my California home, Connie, my nephew, and another cousin were with my mom in the hospital holding her hand as Dad drew his last breath.

Connie deeply loved her family and spoke to me often of their goodness and accomplishments. Connie fought numerous health battles but did not blame others, did not play victim, and did not try to draw attention to herself. She suffered with quiet resolve and dignity. 

God bless your soul dear "cuz" and may you rest in peace in the Lord's loving embrace.
