Cliff Bryan, 73, of Leawood, KS passed away on Thursday, September 24th. A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at McGilley State Line Chapel, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Lutheran Communities; CALP , 14150 West 113th Street, Shawnee Mission, KS 66215 (In loving memory of his brother Dean).
Cliff was born November 24, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Clifford J. and Vella M. (Branum) Bryan. He graduated from Central High School in 1959. He received a BA in Science from University of Missouri. After graduating he pursued a career in Respiratory Therapy. In 1968 he became the first program director and was instrumental in developing the Respiratory therapy department at KU Medical Center. In 1972 he married his wife of 43 years Donna Daly; together they had one daughter Jennifer. He pursued different avenues of the business and medical side of Respiratory Therapy throughout his professional career. He worked for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC/AMP) as Vice President until retiring in 2003. After retiring Cliff enjoyed golf, loved fishing, spending time with family and spoiling his two grandchildren Madelyn and Garrett.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dean Bryan and sister Pat Ford. He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Patterson; grandchildren Madelyn and Garrett Patterson; mother-in-law Beverly Daly; 9 in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews
