Clare Hymes

Clare was born on November 12, 1932 in Eldon, Missouri, to Marvin and Ethel [Heisler] Wagoner. She grew up in Osage Beach and graduated from Camdenton High School in 1950. Clare married Chester L. Hymes on November 15, 1952. The Hymes’ made their home in the south Kansas City area, raising four children, before retiring to Mesa, Arizona in 1994. Clare loved Jesus and her family above everything.

She is survived by her husband, her two daughters, Theresa Elizabeth Nuckoles (Ray) of Mesa, Arizona and Catherine Joanne Belding (Jeff) of Belton, Missouri, and son, Chester Mark Hymes (Ellie) of Grandview, Missouri, five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Gregory Roy Hymes, and many other loved ones.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, with a visitation prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home.
