Growing up as the eldest of 10 kids, he has left behind a large family. This includes his two daughters, Kristina Stanley with wife Lauren and Deanna Cotter with husband David, his mother, Bernadine Stanley, 9 siblings, and more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends than one can count. Chuck is reunited with his wife, Laura Ann of 33 years, and his father, Dr. Charles Stanley.
Known for his quick-wit and one-liners, Chuck brought humor into all he did. He was an outside salesman by trade, but was fully enjoying retirement which meant playing golf several times a week and spending extra time with his animals. As a life-long KC resident, he frequently visited many local restaurants. There wasn't a dive bar or Mexican restaurant in the area he had not tried. He was a connoisseur of margaritas and a firm believer that everything tasted better with a little extra salt or red pepper.
Chuck was highly proficient at knowing every back road and alley, and enjoyed showing everyone how fast he could get from one place to the next. He wanted to take the "short-cut" just to show his way.
He had a knack for telling you like it is. He was generous to a fault, a teddy bear at heart and was always there for whatever anyone needed.
