Christy Willis, 62, loving wife, mother, and friend passed away on January 27, 2023 at her home surrounded in love by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Christy was born on July 29, 1960, in Kansas City, MO, to Leroy Trocosso and Betty Ulrich and graduated high school from O’Hara High School in Kansas City.
Christy worked as an Administrative Assistant and Executive Secretary primarily at Black & Veatch where she made some of her dearest friends, and met her husband, Raymond Willis. They had 30 wonderful years together. While Christy enjoyed traveling and antique shopping, reading, and baking butter cookies and pumpkin pie, the time that she cherished most was simply sharing a morning coffee and devotion with her husband, being with her son and his fiancée, listening with genuine care and concern to her dearest family and friends, and communion with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Christy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Willis, son, Danny Willis and his fiancée, Emma Franklin, along with other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 11, 2023, at McGilley Memorial Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
