Christina Marie Rogers was called home suddenly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Daniel L Rogers; her daughters, Ashley Renee Rogers and Sydney Maureen Rogers.
Christina was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph and Maureen Gravino. Christina followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a registered nurse in Kansas City. Christina Rogers was a strong, confident, and loving person. She was always willing to help others in need and put them before herself. She was an amazing nurse who dedicated her career to nurturing others. She was a loving wife to her husband, Dan, and a fantastic mother to her two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Sydney. Christina had such passion for her family, especially when the girls were on the volleyball court. While Christina’s main focus was her family, she always knew how to make everyday tasks fun and her quick wit made card games unforgettable. Whenever there was a get together with friends or family, Christina always lit up the room with her enthusiasm and personality. Christina was often sought out for her insight and answers. She is the youngest of seven and her absence will leave our hearts heavy. Cheebird was a unique and beautiful soul and will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 6-8pm at McGilley Memorial Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2012 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO.
