She is survived by her brother Charlie Turner (Libby), sisters-in-law Martha Turner and Eileen Turner, 6 nephews, 2 nieces, many great nephews and nieces and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 of her brothers and sisters, and a niece and two nephews.
Charliene was the youngest female in the family of eight children. She was the first woman in the family to graduate from college at Graceland College in Lamoni Iowa. After college, Charliene taught in Kansas City Kansas public schools. She also worked in the Job Corp for two years. She returned to college (University of Kansas) to achieve a degree in electrical engineering. She was hired by IBM in Poughkeepsie NY then transferred to IBM’s Space Center in Houston TX. She eventually returned to Raytown Missouri where she enjoyed her cats, reading, neighbors, friends and family.
Visitation will be January 20 at 10AM with the funeral service at 11AM both at McGilley & Sheil Chapel,(11924 E. 47th Street, Kansas City MO 64133). Burial to follow in Oakridge Cemetery.
