Mr Reed was my Scoutmaster, along with Paul Hart and Harry Sprague. I had great memories of Mr Reed on our camping trips and going to Osceola,Mo to the Boy Scout camp for two weeks.  Mr Reed was like a second father to me. Even though I had not seen him in many years,  my father and I would talk about Scouts and Mr Reed's name always was included in the conversation.

Just learned of his passing. My condolences to the family.

I only knew Charles for a short time but every Sunday I got the chance to shake his hand and put my arm around him and we’d talk for a few minutes before and after church services. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye and was always glad to see me. He was a very sweet and kind man and he will be missed by all who knew him. 

Our sincere condolences to Charles' family and friends.  He was such a nice man who truly enjoyed life.  When we traveled through Kansas City, Charles and Honey (who was my dad's cousin) often joined us for church and lunch afterwards with my mom's brother & his family.  It was always fun to watch the church members try to figure out how everyone knew one another, especially when an extra 2nd cousin from one side or the other could join us.  Charles just chuckled at the guessing. ... Again, our prayers for his loved ones as he makes this final journey.

We have many fond memories of Charles and Honey’s visits to Georgia over the years. Charles drove to Georgia Christmas 2019 and spent the week with our family. We will hold those memories in our hearts forever. Love and prayers from the Cummings  family. 

To the family of Charles Reed:  It is with sadness that I send sympathy  to you when reading of Charles death.  We were close friends with Charles and Marlene for several years.  We met them through work in the Eastern Star.  Marilyn and I traveled with them to many functions.  Charles and I also worked together in the Scottish Rite, expecially during their reunions.  May God  hold you in His arms and give you comfort at this sad time.  Richard Houston 33 Deg.
