“Nannie’s” family has grown over the years to include 4 children-Mary Jo Fisk (Jim); Patty Scanlon; John Scanlon Jr. (Mary Kay); Kathleen Aylward (Chuck); 11 Grandchildren – Jeff Fisk, Jason Williams (Tracy), Michael Williams (Melissa), Jenny Lobasz (Scott), Kris Shubert (Kenny), Casey Scanlon, Shea Scanlon, Toby Aylward, Alaina Aylward, Quinn Aylward, Seth Aylward, and 6 Great Grandchildren – Hollie, Ella, Cecilia, Seattle, Kade, and Jude.
While Nanny’s memory deteriorated over the past 15 years, our memories of her will remain for a lifetime. Mostly we remember a mom, grandmother, great grandmother who was a unique mix of grit, determination, power, humor, mischief, loyalty, and possessing an indomitable fighting spirit. These qualities are undeniably evident in all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, so we lay her to rest knowing that her memory will remain alive through them. “May you never forget what is worth remembering nor ever remember what is best forgotten. “
