Carolyn Marie Cameron Meagher

Carolyn Marie (Cameron) Meagher, loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many; departed this life on Saturday, November 5th, 2011. Born to Elmer & Claire Cameron in Leavenworth Kansas, on March 31st, 1939. Carolyn spent her entire life in the Kansas City area. The family will receive friends at St. Thomas More parish (11822 Holmes KCMO) on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 4-6pm with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 6pm.

Carolyn was a 1955 graduate of St. Teresa’s Academy, attended Donnelly College, worked for Folgers Coffee and later many years with Concannon & Associates Insurance Co. Throughout her life she was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Peter’s and St. Thomas More parishes. Carolyn volunteered on several auxiliaries and boards for those parishes as well as St. Teresa’s Academy and Rockhurst High School.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, Herb; her son Steven (Kelly) Meagher; her daughters Chris (Brian) Calovich, and Kathleen (John) Rusgis, Jr.; her grandchildren Mitchell, Molly, Reed and Anna Meagher; Emily (Chris) Hansen, Jeff and Kadie Calovich; Jack, Matthew and Kelsey Rusgis; her brother Ken (Edna) Cameron and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family would especially like to thank the compassionate staff, physicians and 4 West nurses at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, her doctors from Gastrointestinal Associates and Kansas City Family Medical Care. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her honor to St. Teresa’s Academy, Rockhurst High School or St. Thomas More parish.
