Carolyn was born February 28, 1931, near Blackburn, Missouri to Otis and Lillie Stuhrman.
As a young woman, Carolyn had a desire to travel, and God granted that desire by allowing her to live in and visit a variety of places in the U.S. as well as overseas. In San Francisco, at age twenty, after talking to a friend, Carolyn gave her life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour as a missionary, then saw Him directing her steps, thereafter, including the final step from earth to heaven.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Otis Stuhrman, her mother Lillie Stuhrman, and her husband of eighteen years, Norman E. Larsen.
Survivors include three daughters: Lauri Larsen-Pittman, of Raytown, Missouri, Suzanne Ebert (Bill), of Topeka, Kansas, and Opal Knight, of Topeka, Kansas. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jeremiah Lunardini, Christopher Claassen, Preston Mosman, Nathan Pittman, Paige Larsen, Brecken Larsen, Jade Larsen and Carys Larsen. Also surviving is one great-granddaughter, KayLee King.
