She was born on July 11, 1942 in Lyons, Kansas to Wayne and Rubyanna Boldt. Carolyn married Kurt T. Anderson on November 6, 1971 in Kansas City. Carolyn graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas in 1964 then completed the medical technology program at The University of Kansas Medical Center in 1965. She remained there for 47 years, eventually becoming the Lab Supervisor.
Carolyn had a passion for gardening, quilting, singing, cooking and baking. She was a worship leader at Broadway Baptist Church for many years, and sang as a baritone with Kansas City Chorus of Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her sister, Rosaleen Boldt of Hutchinson, KS; twin sons, Karl (Jammie) of Fountain, CO; and Kris (Kristin) of Thousand Oaks, CA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Lauren, Evan, Ellery, and Kyler.

A Visitation will take place from 8:00am to 9:00am on Monday, July 12 followed by a 9:00am Memorial Service at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. A Committal Service will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
