Carol Lee was born in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. She was the fourth of eight children. On June 22nd, 1951, she fell in love and married her husband, John G. “Jack” Daly in Denver, Colorado. Two years later, they celebrated the birth of their son, Mark G. Daly. Shortly after, they moved to Garden City, Kansas where they owned and operated multiple cattle enterprises for 33 years.
Upon retirement, Jack and Carol Lee lived in Bonita Springs, Florida and Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2005 they moved to the Kansas City area to be near family and granddaughters. After 61 years of marriage, Jack preceded Carol Lee in death in 2013. Carol Lee was a truly devoted mother, avid book reader, and canine lover.
Carol Lee is survived by her son, Mark, and wife Patty; three granddaughters, Kristen Lewis (Joshua), Courtney Hill (Brandon) and Tricia Daly; five great grandchildren, William, Evelyn, Brooks, Serena and Axel; two sisters, Avalon Hahn and Karen Knudsen; 3 nieces, Kim, Joy and Julee.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Monday, September 24th, 2018 at the McGilley State Line Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 25th, in the Wesley Chapel at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association.
