Carlos was proud of and readily shared the interesting life he lived. He loved family and friends, and had a passion for automobile racing. As a young man he toured the country as crew chief for 1970's funny car "Rapid Ronnie" Runyan on the drag racing circuit and had a life long career as an auto mechanic which encompassed over thirty years in Raytown and Independence. He was an avid bass fisherman, enjoying time near the water. At eleven years old he was also invited to train and tour with the water ski club.
