Carla Ann Harmon, 52, Blue Springs, Missouri passed away May 4, 2011 after a valiant fight with cancer. A visitation will begin at noon, Monday, May 9th at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Carla is survived by her beloved husband Keith Harmon, originally from Independence, Missouri. She is also survived by her sons Lance and Travis Carrigan, her step-son Calab Harmon, her mother Arla Cameron and three brothers Lester, Robert, and Kenneth Cameron, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends with whom she had close relationships. Carla was preceded in death by her father Noble Cameron, brothers Wayne and Ricky Cameron, and her sister Deborah Cameron. Carla’s life was defined not by what she did for a living (though she was an incredible hair stylist), but by who she was as a person. Carla was a committed wife, a loving daughter, an extraordinary mother, a loyal sibling, and an amazing friend. To know Carla was to love her. Carla was sweet, but could also be very tough. Her courageous fight against cancer inspired everyone around her. Thanks to the committed staff at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Carla was able to spend nearly two extra years laughing, loving, and spending quality time with her family. Everyone who knew Carla considered this time a gift. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com. Arrangements under the direction of Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.
