Burley (Butch) Leroy Bishop, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Burley was born to Burley Bishop and Dorothy Womack in Sioux City, Iowa.
He served in the United States Army from 1967 – 1971 spending much of that time overseas. After serving his country he returned home to the Kansas City area where he worked in the home remodeling industry. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and spending time with friends and family.
Burley was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dottie Theisen, Nicky Theisen and Martin (Sonny) Theisen. He is survived by sisters Betty Reaves of Raytown, MO, Sharon Huan of Lexington, MO and Judith Driller of Independence, MO, as well as many nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his good friend and longtime roommate Tony PettyJohn.
A graveside service for Burley will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
