Brian Hayhow passed away on Friday evening at the age of 37. His huge, but delicate, heart had gone as far as it could. From the day he was born, Brian filled the world with love. In spite of his constant physical challenges, he lived every day joyously and exuberantly. He treasured his friends and had an amazing ability to nurture and maintain profound relationships with a large and ever expanding number of people.
Brian grew up in Leawood, Kansas and attended Blue Valley North High School. He attended Northern Arizona University, where his membership in Sigma Chi was an important part of his life. He worked as a manager at Longhorn Steakhouse until he was recruited into the real estate business where his talent could truly shine. In just a few short years he built a real estate business at the very top of the profession, both locally and nationally. His clients knew he cared for them deeply and they always became his friends.
In 2012 Brian married his true love, Georgiane Hayhow, and was blessed to have Georgiane's kids Jake, Sam and Libby come into his life. And then, on March 12th of this year, Georgiane delivered their beautiful baby girl, Brynne Francis Hayhow. To see Brian's joy and love for his daughter was to be touched by the hand of God.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Francis and Jack Hayhow, Sr. and his uncle, George Heady. He is survived by his his wife, Georgiane Hayhow and daughter, Brynne Francis Hayhow; his mother and father, Joyce and Jack Hayhow; Georgiane’s kids, Jacob, Samuel and Elizabeth; his grandmothers, Betty Francis and Wilmetta Hayhow; his aunt, Diane Heady; his uncle and aunt, Jim and Pam Hayhow; his foreign exchange sister, Nina Patkai; and his dear friends who he loved like family.
When he was born in 1977, Brian's life was saved by Children's Mercy Hospital. The hospital gave the world the remarkable gift of Brian's 37 years. Brian made the most of that short time and everyone he met was touched by his smile and generous spirit.
Brian was tireless in his efforts to help others and did so in many ways, including his volunteer work for the the Centurions Program of the KC Chamber, the Leawood Police Citizen’s Academy, Youth Friends and as founder and Chair of the Children’s Mercy Hospital Ambassadors Auxiliary Board.
Brian would appreciate donations to Children's Mercy Hospital Ambassador’s Auxiliary Board.
