Born on October 24th, 1942 in Dade City, Florida. God called Bonnie home on December 12th, 2018. Her 76 years were filled with family, faith and love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lingo, and her mother Ethel Lingo. She is survived by her sister Barbara Lingo of Dade City, Florida, husband of 56 years, Lawrence, five children (Robert, Thomas, Cynthia (Jerry Setter), Nancy (Ward Bahner), and Edward (Kate), and five grandchildren (Owen and Lucy Bahner, Cole and Anna Setter, and Holden Weishar).
Bonnie had tremendous faith in God and love for her family. She came to Kansas City in 1960 to join the airline industry and met Larry at a “library” where they quickly danced, fell in love, and were married in 1962. The children followed over the next 10 years and Bonnie and Larry worked to ensure their lives were filled with love, opportunity and a deep faith in God. A tireless homemaker, Bonnie always put her family first ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving home. For many years while raising her children, Bonnie was a dedicated member of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church where she devoted countless hours supporting the parish Alter Society and school athletic department. Bonnie also worked for 15 years at O’Hara High School where her laughter and spirit had a profound impact on students and staff throughout her tenure. Bonnie will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues and especially her husband, children and grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, Dec. 17 from 4:00 -7:00 PM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO. Memorial Mass, also at St Andrew, is Tuesday Dec. 18 at 11:00 AM. Inurnment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
