Blake Lee Goodman

Blake was born on August 28th, 1992, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Sabrinna and Wendyl Goodman. He attended kindergarten and first grade in the Kansas City area before being homeschooled for much of his childhood and early teens. Blake would go on to attend Blue Ridge Christian School, where he spent a few years doing every extracurricular thing the school offered, from Soccer to Choir; he graduated from Blue Ridge Christian School in 2009.

Blake attended Trinity Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church for several years up until he turned eighteen. In that time, he worked at the Circle C Baptist Ranch outside of Lexington, KY with his brothers Josh and Zach as part of the staff. When he turned sixteen, he got his first job at the Hacienda Del-Spar, taking care of all the horses, cleaning stalls, and driving fast on the gravel roads in the work truck. Both Josh and Zach would follow in his footsteps and work there as well, and Blake made sure to tell his boss about why his brothers were the ones they should hire after he left. Blake worked at Circle C Baptist Ranch the summer after he graduated high school and then enrolled at Commonwealth Baptist College, where he attended for one semester. Being more military minded, he came home and joined the Marine Corp. He went to boot camp at Camp Pendleton, CA and became an ammunition technician.

After the Marines, Blake moved to Oklahoma where he met Scarlet Wylert, they were married in Eureka Springs, AR. Blake and Scarlet then had their daughter Melody Lee Goodman on November 20, 2014. Blake worked in Electrical Construction soon after and continued to the present time.

As an adult, Blake loved to go fishing, and whenever he could, he would try to take as many people with him as possible. Music was another big part of his life, enjoying music of all genres, from Country to Rap and everything in between, it did not matter to him if he wore his cowboy boots while listening to Yelawolf and getting weird looks, he was the kind of person that could care less what most people thought, and he would tell you that too. Blake had the biggest personality, and he will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him.

Blake is survived by his mother, Sabrinna Jean Wymore, "Dad Brent" Wymore, daughter Melody Goodman, brothers Joshua Goodman, Zachary Goodman, sister Bailey Wymore and his half-brothers and half-sisters, Antonio Goodman, Zacatecas Goodman, Trinity Goodman, Emma Goodman, Shalen Russell and Brittany Russell.. He was preceded in death by his dad Wendyl Lee Goodman.

A Visitation for Blake will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm. A Committal Service will occur at 1:00pm at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
