Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Bev was born July 25, 1934 in Independence, Kansas, daughter of Bill and Charlene Ranes. Bev completed her education in Independence, Kansas, and worked in banking for many years. Bev loved her children and grandchildren and cherished spending time with family and friends. Bev and her husband Don enjoyed traveling and wintering in south Texas. They were married in 1977 and enjoyed 35 years together before his passing. She was an avid reader and loved playing competitive board and card games. Duplicate Bridge was an integral part of her life and she was a Duplicate Bridge Life Master and instructor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don McBride, parents, two sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Janet (Jerry) Kirtley, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Hull, Charna (Brian) Wunder and Donal (Denette) Haertl; step-children, Chris (Mary) McBride, Patti (Mike) Schraeder and Penny McBride, ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
