Beverly was born September 4, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harold and Mabel Collins. She graduated from Northeast High School in St. Louis where she was raised with her loving parents as the middle child of the Three B’s.
Beverly was proceeded in death by her parents, Harold, and Mabel Collins; mother and father in law, Albert and Edna Cox; brother, Bradley Collins; and nephew Rusty Clinton.
Beverly will be remembered by her loving husband of 40 years, Eldon Cox. Their three children, Metha Cox, Heather (Terry) Phillips, and Holly (Ronald) Shelton; grandchildren Allison Phillips, Derek Robert Stanton Phillips, Ella Phillips, Bradley Stanton-Cox Shelton, Vincent, Vito, Johnny, and Mia Cox. Her life’s priorities were being a wife, mother, and grandmother. All who knew Beverly knew the special bonds she had with each of her “Babies”.
Beverly is additionally survived by her sisters, Bonnie Collins, Vickie Turner, and Christeen Cardiff; nieces Jessica, Deena, Colleen and Cielleen, who is also her goddaughter; nephews Brad, Adam, Billy, Jesse, Jimmy, and Joey.
Beverly worked for Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets for nearly 20 years, helping countless families in their grief recovery process. She had a passion for helping people in their time of need.
Beverly had a life well lived, well loved, and well-traveled. On her terms just the way she liked it surrounded by her friends and family and the beach. She left us all with a lifetime of laughs and memories.
A visitation for Beverly will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 12 to 2pm, funeral service starting at 2pm, both at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119; followed immediately after with a committal service at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
