Bettye J Vaughn

Bettye "Jeane" Vaughn was born June 23, 1929 to the union of Lewis & Jesse Peyton in KCMO. She received her education in the KCMO school system and went on to become a registered nurse from which profession she retired in 2006. Bettye was united in marriage to Raymond Vaughn on December 31, 1946. This union was blessed with 3 sons and 3 daughters.

Bettye fell asleep in death on May 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Raymond, 1 daughter Raeann, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She leaves to mourn and cherish her life and memories: sons; Raymond Jr., Michael (Cynthia), and Kevin (Stephanie), daughters; Brenda & Weegie'Marie. Grandchildren; Derric (Lupita), Tjuan, LyShayn(Jerry), Rae'Mikel, Ashley, Tyler, Keonna, Kourtney, Katrice, Genese, Kevin ll, Jamil, Elisha, and Kianna. 6 great grandsons; 8 great granddaughters, 3 great-great grandsons and 1 great-great granddaughter. A brother Walter Peyton and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service 1:30pm Sat., May 18, 2019 at the Swope Parkway Kingdom Hall, 3601 E. 53rd St., KCMO 64130. Private interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Arr: McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., KCMO 64133.
