Betty was born in Kansas City Missouri, the daughter of Hank, a chemical engineer, and Virginia, a school librarian. She loved to ride her bike and climb the trees in the backyard. She also enjoyed synchronized swimming. And she loved hiking in the mountains of Colorado.
She went to Southwest High School, where in her senior year, she found her passion that became a career in an after-school class on computer programming. She attended the University of Central Missouri, and majored in Computer Science.
At CMSU (now UCM), she met the love of her life, Leonard (Len) Todd. When she graduated in 1974, they got married and they were on year number 48 when she passed. Len went into the Army in 1975 and they were stationed in Savannah, Georgia for 3 and half years. Betty worked for the City of Savanah as a programmer. When Len got out of the Army, Betty got a job in the IT Department at Hallmark Cards in December 1978, and stayed with the company until she retired on July 22, 2022.
In the 80's Betty and Len had two wonderful children. Brian and Renee both graduated from UCM with degrees in Information Technology. Renee got married to Ken Little, and they have given Betty a wonderful grandson, Lucas.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Virginia Comstock. She leaves her husband, Leonard Todd, her brother, John Comstock, her children, Brian Todd and Renee (Ken) Little, and one grandson, Lucas Little.
