Beatrice Lorraine Burns

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday May 19th 2013 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City MO, 64119. Visitation will be held at 12PM to 2:00 PM with a rosary prayed at 1:30 PM. Burial will be 11:00 Thursday, May 23rd at Ft Leavenworth National Cemetery. More information will be provided during the service on Sunday about the burial arrangements and meeting times for the caravan to Beatrice’s final resting place.

Beatrice was born in Kansas City, MO on June 23rd 1950. She graduated from Northeast High School and continued on to college at the University of Missouri in pursuit of an Engineering degree. Beatrice was married to Joseph Walter Burns on April 8th, 1972; they were married 42 loving years. Beatrice was a loving caring soul that had enough compassion to fill the world twice over. She gave so much of her life to help and care for others in need during her lifetime. Her ability to love and forgive is a true testament of her humanity and ability to love openly and freely. Beatrice was also a charitable person with her time and donated all she could to those in need. Her selflessness was one of a kind and her efforts will be missed by many of the lives she has touched over the years in different parts of the world. She will be dearly missed by all especially her soul mate Joseph. Beatrice was preceded in death by Pauline – her mother.

Beatrice is survived by Joseph – her husband, James and Christopher – her sons, Ashley and Christopher – her grandchildren, Frank – Her father, Tony, Sal, Steve, Francis, Rita, Kathy – her brothers and sisters, and other family and friends.
