Barbara M (Ingalls) Masten, 96, recently of John Knox Village, passed away October 18, 2020. Barbara, known affectionately as Pat, was born in Lowell, Massachusetts July 22, 1924 to Elizabeth and Chester Ingalls.
She was united in marriage to Paul M. Masten on June 20, 1946. Paul predeceased her on March 7, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Alan (Jan) Masten; daughter, Paula (Steve) Stufflebam; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was an RN by profession, always caretaking and was a strong, independent woman ahead of her time.
She loved being surrounded by family and created wonderful meals to nourish the soul. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and grace, exemplified by her acceptance of others. She was a founding member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Raytown, MO.
A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
