Armin came to America in 1958 and settled in Kansas City in which he began working in construction and later a masonry specialist in tile setting. Armin loved outdoors activites such as hiking, camping, boating, and hunting; he was a marksman. At home Armin enjoyed his garden, his dogs, and his family. He loved music and enjoyed playing the trumpet, organ, and drums; Armin also played the accordion with the Liederkranzsingers. Armin was a member of the Germania Club, Karnival Club, German-American Club, and KC Turners.
Armin is survived by his life companion, Lore Nehls, of 25 years. Also his family- Joachim and Victoria Nehls, Mark and Michelle Hirsch, a grandson, granddaughters, and great grandsons.
Services will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Visitation is on Sunday, August 26th, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Contributions may be made to the Wayside Waifs in his honor.
