Arlus was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bessie Farmer, her brothers Frank, Bob and Bill Farmer, her brother Floyd Larson and her husband Ernest Thieme.
She is survived by her children Venita Holzer, Velina Maisler, Venice Wilkins, Walter Bedeski, April Atkinson, Steven Thieme, Denise Moran and Teresa Porch. She also leaves behind 29 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Arlus will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133) with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM. Following the service there will be a procession to Longview Cemetery (Longview Cemetery, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149). Family and friends are invited to return to Floral Hills Funeral Home afterwards for a reception.
In lieu of flowers the family requests live plants, as caring for them was Arlus' passion which she passed down to her family.
