Anna (Ann) Louise Jackson of John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit, MO passed on to her eternal home on August 28, 2015. Private graveside services. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2015, with visitation following service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to South Broadland Presbyterian Church, 7850 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131 or First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit, 1625 NW O’Brien Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
Ann was born March 7, 1921 near Harrisonville, MO to Clyde & Georgia Deaver. After graduation from high school in Harrisonville, she attended Central Business College in Sedalia, MO. Ann was employed at Missouri Unemployment Compensation Commission at Jefferson City, MO. In Jefferson City, she met and married Carl S. Jackson on June 16, 1940. They moved to Washington, D.C. where Carl worked for the National Inventors’ Council and Ann was employed by the U.S. Agriculture Department. After five years, they returned to Missouri to live in the Kansas City area.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother and sister-in-law George and Jennie Deaver, her sister & brother-in-law Harriett and Russell Outon, and son-in-law William Fisher.
Ann is survived by three daughters: Martha Eagle (Tom), Lee’s Summit, MO; Carol Fisher, Leawood, KS; and Barbara Nicol (Scott), Madison, AL; and grandchildren Tom C. Eagle, Karen Eagle, Andrew Fisher, David Fisher, Kelly Case, Christine Nix, Jennifer Clardy, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
