Ann was baptized in Illinois at Maplewood Baptist Church in 1932 after she had accepted Christ in the the same church at seven years of age. She was greatly influenced by her parents and Sunday School teachers. Her father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all Baptist preachers.
Ann played the piano at an early age. She attended Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated with a music degree from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She was the oldest student to receive an Organ Performance Degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at approximately age 82. At age 90 she was the Musical Director for a small stage play at Hallmark Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and was interviewed by KMBC-TV.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, George P. Jackson, who passed February 10, 2013. She is survived by her five children: Steve (Ginny) Jackson, David (Gail) Jackson, Dennis (Betty) Jackson, Karen Kaplan and Keith (Kim) Jackson; plus six loving grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She also left behind numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews from both the Arvin and Jackson sides of her large family. She loved and adored them all!
