Ann Noreen Verhulst, 72, died on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at home with loved ones under Kansas City Hospice Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Catherine Butler and her sister, Theresa Imming.
She is survived by her husband, Allan Verhulst; sons, Tim (Anne) Verhulst, Kevin Verhulst, Daniel Verhulst, Thomas (Vivian) Verhulst and daughter, Valerie (Mike) Venerdi; a sister, Cathy Owens and brother, Edward Butler; and 14 grandchildren.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, graduated from St. Theresa’s Academy and completed x-ray training at Baptist Hospital. She was a devoted Catholic, loving wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, caregiver for the elderly, and advocate for the unborn. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 25, at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO, from 6-8p.m.with a Rosary prayed at 6:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30a.m., Tuesday, April 26, at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO, with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Missouri Right to Life or Alexandra’s House.
