Andrew Jackson Black Jr., 70, of Independence Missouri passed away peacefully on August 7th.
Andrew was born to Andrew and Dorothy Black on November 25th, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew and his brother Daniel Black. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Alsop and his siblings; Tom Black, Connie Cessor, Laurel Munger and Debbie Black. As well as his children Andrea De Wees (David), Andrew Black III and grandchildren; Dominic and Grant.
Growing up, Andrew enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and hot-rods. He enjoyed a good joke and helping others. He served his country in Vietnam and was active in AA. He was very proud of his children and considered them his greatest accomplishment. He overcame many of life's challenges with rubber duckies, counterfeit dollar bills, glorified rice pudding, and visits from the "little green men". In remembrance of him, watch for a shooting star in the night sky.
