Allan Buster Bagshaw, 92, of Independence, MO passed away December 22, 2018. Visitation at 1PM with memorial service at 2PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 with reception to follow at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Contributions may be made in Allan's name to CDD www.cddkc.org.
Allan was born in Pleasant Hill, MO June 8, 1926. In September of 1944 Buster joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Philippine Islands. He was honorably discharged in November of 1946. Buster married Jeanne (Sooy) Wrigley on October 10, 1952 in their home in Independence, MO. Jeanne brought one son from her previous marriage and they soon added three sons and one daughter. They moved to their farm in Louisburg, KS, in 1961 where they lived until returning to Independence in 1966.
He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, billiards, family gatherings, his children, but most of all his grandchildren. Allan would volunteer to help whoever at whatever needed to be done for his family, friends and Special Neighbors Inc.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Jeanne; daughter, Jeannette; and son Darryl; his mother, Lula; daughters-in-law, Jane Wrigley, Jimmie Wrigley; and many siblings.
He's survived by son's, Donald (Brenda) Bagshaw, Douglas (Connie) Bagshaw; stepson, Richard Wrigley; sister, Helen Kitchen; daughter-in-law, Mitzi Bagshaw; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
