Alida "Lyn" Erickson, 92, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023 at Jackson Creek Assisted Living. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral home at 1:00pm on Friday, June 16 with services to follow at 2:00pm.
Lyn was born in Durango, Colorado, to Alfred and Edna Moore. After losing her father at a young age, she was raised by her stepfather, Earl Orr, along with Edna until Lyn's marriage to Carl Erickson.
She is survived by her sister Rhonda Menzies, her daughters Carole Christine McFarland, Carol Montague (husband Steve), Sally Lewis (husband Mike Loman), niece Jody Bridger (husband Shane), eight grandchildren: Lesley, John, Mike, Ryan, Laura, Kelsey, Meg, and Jason; eleven great-grandchildren: Shelby, Briar, Alexa, David, McKenna, Bella, Brynn, Brooke, Bruce, Zooey, and Sawyer; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother James Moore, her sister Margaret "Margie" Loria, and great-grandson Jonathan Packard.
Lyn was an employee at Western Electric for 26 years. She loved her cats, gardening, travel, and mostly spending time with family.
She will be missed beyond measure.
