Rest In Peace Dad. I’m sorry I never got to meet you in person but with some help from Ancestry DNA I was able to find you. I thank God that my search is over but I’m also sad that I am five years too late. I guess I will have to wait until I get to heaven to meet you now.  😓

I met Alex Ayala my sophomore year at Argentine High School. He was one of cutest boys there. All the cute boys usually teased me because I had red hair and freckles and wore a body cast. Alex never teased me. I have never heard Alex say an unkind word. He was also one of toughest guys I ever met, but he never started a fight. He was a true and very loyal friend and came from one of the nicest families I know.
Even when he lost the use of his arm he was still strong and I never heard him complain, eventually he lost his arm, still no complaint. He laughed a lot with my two brothers Mark and Randy Carter. He loved sports and played golf with one arm and was good. 
He was a man of very few words. When my brother was dying of lung and liver cancer, Alex didn't talk much, he just drove to Warsaw and sat with him day after day and listened a lot. I can never be thankful enough for the comfort and strength he gave my brother Randy Carter-it was selfless and heroic.
I will miss Alex at the special events in my family he attended. My memories of him will always be fond ones.
