Adela Gonzales

Adela Gonzales, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri died on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Sacred Heart/Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Adela was born on March 21, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Cypriano and Rita (Gonzalez) Cisneros. In addition to raising her family, Adela worked 30 years for Jack-Bilt Printing as a bookbinder. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and was a Guadalupana. She also volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In addition to her parents, Adela was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis T. Gonzales; grandson, Anthony Robert Gonzales; brother, Cypriano Cisneros; and two sisters, Cecilia Garcia and Josefina Cisneros. Adela’s survivors include two sons, Trinidad Gonzales and wife Kathy, Joe L. Gonzales and wife Carolyn; two daughters, Ann Trejo and husband Alberto, Elizabeth Florez and husband Michael; one brother, Augustine Cisneros; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
