Zelma L. Hendricks

In loving memory of Zelma Hendricks, daughter of Mable and Ottis Owens. Zelma was born on October 7, 1932 in Norwood Missouri. She married Harold Hendricks in October 1952 and they had three children, Jerry Hendricks of Kansas City KS, Nancy Cox of Kansas City KS, and Linda Ellis of Tucson Az. She also leaves behind nine Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

Zelma is preceded in death by her parents, Mable Pruett and Ottis Owens. Also preceded in death is her husband, Harold Hendricks, who passed in March of 2000, two brothers, Georgie Owens and Herman Owens and two sisters Juanita Messerli and Zelta Pulley.

Zelma had a career of Owner/ Operator of Hendricks Alteration & Dry Cleaners. She worked as a seamstress for many years before she opened their Cleaners.

Zelma enjoyed many things in her life. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, working outside in her yard. She loved roses and she really loved her dog, but her greatest sense of pride came from her love for her family.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remember.
