Wanda Jean Towns

Wanda met her husband John M. Towns and they married September 17, 1949 and lived in Kansas City, Kansas. They were on a bowling team at the Ranch Bowl for many years and they also loved to square dance as they and the neighbors would take turns hosting these dances. Sadly John passed away on March 15, 1985 and after a couple of years Wanda moved to Kansas City, Missouri to live with her daughter.

Wanda was a loved mother, grandmother and friend and she will be missed. Wanda loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband John, her father William T. Capp and mother Vanda M., brother Clifford and sister Katherine Firoved. Survivors include daughter Joyce Grady (Jim) of Kansas City, Missouri, grandson Tim (T.J) of Chicago, son John M. Towns (Mary) of Mission, Kansas, granddaughter Michelle Huffman (Matt) of Springhill, Kansas, great granddaughters Cadence, Cailyn, Lacy and great grandson Logan, granddaughter Sara Arthur (Alan) of Overland Park, Kansas, great granddaughter Vanessa, great grandsons Ernest and Dominic, and a great grand baby on the way, grandson Michael Hon (Michelle) of Kansas City, Missouri, great grandsons Elan and Adler, granddaughter Kimberly Mefferd of Lenexa, Kansas, great granddaughter Jordan, granddaughter Michelle Warren of Overland Park, Kansas, great granddaughter Kayla.

A visitation will be held at 10 am with service to follow at 11 am on Saturday, April 10th at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
