Walter Edward Foster, 76, was born September 1, 1943 in Washington, D.C. and went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2019. He is survived by his children, son Jason (and Bertha) Foster, and daughter Kelly Foster; grandchildren Jack, Carson, Lila, Paige, Samantha, Lexi, Halie, Tyler, Allison, and Blake; and sister Marsha (and Gary) Rogers. Walt was preceded in death by his parents, Hal & Louise Foster.
Walt served in the Navy from 1962-1971 and later earned advanced degrees in science and theology. He worked as a scientist for the EPA, spending much time in Poland and Lithuania. Walt's travels around the world took him to favorite places such as Egypt and South Africa. He loved photography, swimming and spending time with his granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held at Wyandotte County Christian Church (13700 Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, KS) on November 1, 2019 at 11am.
