Walter Dale Sexton

Walter Dale Sexton, to everyone Dale Sexton, 69, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 of natural causes. Visitation was held at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home Monday, February 9th, 2015 7p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home preceded by the ceremony where Dale was laid to rest next to his deceased wife, Phyllis A. Sexton, of 35 years in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Dale was born on April 7th, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Dorothy Sexton. At young age he moved to Shawnee, Kansas where he was raised and Mother still resides. Dale served in the United States Navy as a Radioman Third Class. The Social Security Administration, and the United States Postal Service employed Dale. From which he was able to retire Happily. Dale was a Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

Dale’s Father, Jerry Sexton and Wife, Phyllis Sexton preceded him in death. Survivors include his Mother: Dorothy Sexton of Shawnee, Kansas; Children: Scott D. Sexton of Overland Park, Kansas and Laurie A. Hargis of Baltimore, Maryland; Grandchildren: Jai, Haley, Jadyn, Conner, and Olivia; Siblings: Mitchell Sexton of Berryton, Kansas, Dennis Sexton of Overland Park, Kansas, Patti Galindez of Shawnee, Kansas as well as his friend, James Faurote and all the friends and families he met along his life journey.
