Vera E. Miller

Vera E. Miller of KCK, passed away on Saturday, January 4th at the age of 93. A visitation will be from 11:00-noon, Thursday, January 9th at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with the funeral service to follow at noon. Interment will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shepherd Center of KCK, 757 Armstrong Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66101 or Cancer Action, 1600 Washington Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66102.

Vera was born in 1920 in Concordia, Missouri, she is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Laura Poese, her husband Donald, her son Robert, two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Clara Whitaker, and three children, Michael, Bruce and Kathy; daughters-in-law, Mary, Linda and Peggy, and son-in-law, Ron Adney. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Vera was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1949 and a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Shepherd Center of Kansas City, KS.
