Thomas E. Dressler, 77, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully January 7,2013 after an extended illness. Visitation will be from 10:00 to noon, Friday, January 18th at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. There will be a private burial for family after the visitation. Tom was born December 15, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to John and Ann Dressler. He attended De Le Salle High School and after graduation he trained as a welder and sheet metal construction worker. Tom was a member of Sheet Metal Union Local #2. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs and KU basketball.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann Dressler, and his brother John (Jack) Dressler. He is survived by his children, Linda Vleisides and her husband Tom of Parkville, MO. Barbara Sheehan of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bill Dressler and his wife Melanie of Pleasant Valley, MO., Tim Dressler of Liberty, Mo and Vicki Dressler of Lawson, Mo. Also Tom’s grandsons Joe Stinnett and his wife Shannon, Jerrme Stinnett, Ben Vleisides, Garrett Dressler and Gideon Dressler. As well as his great-grandson Grant Stinnett. He is also survived by his brother James Dressler.
