Shirley Ann Poehl, 81, of Bonner Springs, passed away peacefully July 7, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 11th, with visitation time from noon-1:00pm preceding the service at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Shirley was born February 13, 1937 in Warsaw, MO to Orville and Eva Quigley. She married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Poehl on Sept. 20, 1954 in Reno, NV. Shirley loved playing bingo and dominos with friends, going to the boats and spending time with friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard “Dick” Poehl; her parents, Orville and Eva Quigley; her sister, Betty Berryman; her daughter, Jennifer Kirby; her son-in-law, James Stimac, Sr.; and her grandsons, Timothy James Stimac and Joseph Daniel Franklin.
Shirley is survived by her sisters, Maudie and Ruby; her children, Patricia Stimac (Paul Armenta), Cynthia Kaster (Carl), Linda Quick, Rich Poehl; and son-in-law, Kenny Kirby; as well as ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
