Sheila J. Seals, 60, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at her home in Kansas City, KS. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS, where the Memorial Sharing will begin at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7611 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64114. Sheila was born September 10, 1949 in Kansas City, KS to Wilbur L. and Dorothy J. "Dot" (Manis) Noone. She was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Argentine High School in 1967. She was a secretary for Black & Veatch for over 30 years before retiring 3 years ago. She was very adventurous and was not afraid to try anything. Sheila loved to travel and went to many places like Hawaii, Mexico and Australia to name a few, talking her traveling companions into scuba diving, swimming with dolphins and white water rafting. She was like a fish in water. Sheila enjoyed all kinds of crafts, painting, making baskets, sewing and knitting. At holiday gatherings, she would always bring over a new game to play. She loved to shop and she could spend hours in a craft or clothing store. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tip & Goldia Manis, and Harry & Lacy Noone. Survivors include her parents of Kansas City, KS; 2 sons, John A. Seals and wife Janette of Kansas City, KS, and Julian Stone of San Diego, CA; 1 brother, Don Noone and wife Becky of Kansas City, KS; and 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashlynn, Sierra, Nathan and Nick.
