Sharon Kaye Wilson

Sharon Kaye Wilson, 62, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Sharon Kaye was born February 14, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to William H. and Mary H. (Stipancich) McCombs. She was a lifelong Kansas City, Kansas resident, where she took care of her home and raised her family. She enjoyed talking to her friends on the telephone, dancing, listening to Country-Western Music, and growing prize tomatoes in her garden. Sharon Kaye was known as the ‘Go To Person’ in her family, as she was always willing to listen and give advice. Sharon Kaye was a member of, and Watch Captain for, Wyandotte Countians Against Crime, and she was the night and weekend dispatcher for Alandon's from 2003 to 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carol Hand; and three brothers, Bob McCombs, Mike McCombs and Don McCombs.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Stephen Wilson of the home; 3 children, Sheilah Young and her husband Davin of Kansas City, Kansas, Frankie Hulbert and his wife Kimmy Sue of Delores, Colorado, and Carli Karrick and her husband Nick O’Dell of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 brothers, Richard McCombs and his wife Beverly of Kansas City, Kansas, and Ronnie McCombs and his wife Consetta of Kansas City, Missouri; 2 sisters, Joann Waller of Basehor, Kansas and Charlene Karrick of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Dustin McGinnis and his wife Caitlin, and Sandra Aparicio; her cousin, Connie Cobb and her husband Joe; and her niece, Kim Onsen-Harrell.
