Samuel Wesley Neal was born November 7, 1927, to Nenon Wesley "Pat" Neal and Annie Lois (Evans) Neal near Washington, AR, and passed on September 18, 2024, at age 96, in Kansas City, KS. On October 23, 1947, Wes and Mazie Lee Dunn married in Pascola, MO.
Wes retired from Bayer in 1986 at age 59; but since 1954, he also worked at the Boulevard Drive-In Theatre. He subsequently leased the drive-in, opened the "Swap and Shop," and purchased the drive-in in 1996. In 2008, his grandson, Brian, joined him to assist.
Predeceased were his wife, Mazie, their son, Stephen, and four siblings: Ina Bryeans, Lois Barry, Margaret Stewart, and Wayne Neal. Surviving are his two sons, David and Walter; two sisters, Patricia Harp and Joy Brown; three generations of grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Arrangements are in the care of the Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

A visitation for Samuel will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
