Ronnie Lee Walkup 63, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Shawnee, Kansas. Inurnment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Kansas, on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Ronnie was born on July 1, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walter and Elizabeth Walkup. He worked many years for the Shawnee Mission School District, and has been retired for many years. Ronnie liked to work on dune buggies and his truck “Old Blue”, a 1954 Ford pickup. Ronnie was dependable and loved his nephews and was always there for them. Ronnie was preceded in death by his Father, Walter Walkup. He is survived by his Mother, Elizabeth Walkup, Sisters; Judy Young, Shirley (Jack) Young, and Betty (Michael) Sharp and Brother, Danny (Lou Hau) Walkup, as well as many nieces and nephews and a great niece and nephew.
